Re: Last Time I Buy a Xiaomi Phone

Right to repair is becoming a thing in the EU, so we should see changes here. That might spread since manufacturers might not be bothered producing two different versions of the same phone.

Re: ZZAP! LIVE 2023

Great. I watched a video review of it. Seemed like a good bit going on anyway. Definitely popular.

Re: ZZAP! LIVE 2023

Interesting to hear about, but the fact that it's called Zzap! Live, should there not be some Zzap! related things or at least people who worked on Zzap! (bar your fine self of course!) there?

Re: Roger Kean

and unfortunately Roger Kean has passed away as well, following his life partner Oli.

We owe both of them (and many others) so much for bringing the joy of Zzap! into our teenage and beyond years.

Yes! I saw this, a friend poked me that an item about the C64 was coming up. You did us proud! Not sure where they got that image of the C64 with the modded Function keys though... :(

Re: Looking for a certain game for C64 possibly

The first bit sounds a bit like Wonderboy or Pac Land?

No underground bits though. Can't believe Wonder boy got such a low review score. Great little game with great graphics.

Re: Zzap!64 #107: 20 years young

or around 17 years after we all cunningly flipped the Retro Gamer bagged version so it made it look like Zzap!64 was properly back in 2005. (We all did that, right?) I'm pretty sure Mort did that with the photos he uploaded / emailed to me at the time. It was a great to see it back in the magazine ...

Re: Zzap!64 #107: 20 years young

When you think about it, that issue came out quite soon after the last official issue of Zzap! i.e. around 8 years. 20 is a far bit more in the other direction now! Funny that this website started around November 1997, seems a bit soon for nostalgia but I guess it was for the older issues of the 80's.

Wow, that's pretty cool. There hasn't been a Zzap! issue on a shelf of a newsagents since Rob's "The Def Tribute to Zzap!64".

Re: Redevelopment of Scans Section

Ta for letting me know. I guess there was a new Perl version installed on the server or something. My file include path stopped working on all Perl scripts. :( They should be all fixed now. The static HTML pages were all fine, something to be said for the old non fancy stuff! :-D
