Just a quick teaser, Their may be an extra page of scans on the site soon and it won`t be mags but it is relevant and a very overlooked (quality wise) part of 64 history?

Wait and see Cool

You will all be able to participate and help out Very Happy

Better keep quiet now before Iain gets a restraining order on me Razz

I have been beavering away in the loft to give the page a start, cobwebs and backache ahoy looking for rare treasures (well maybe not depends on who will use the page), Iain has been hitting the keyboard coding the page, Rob could we use your talents also for the logo Very Happy

Well guess you guys can guess its going to be a covers site, this wil be quality scans of inlays fully laid out with fronts and backs of boxes, tapes, disks manuals and any goodies which came with the software.

If you would like to do any scans please scan whole inlay, manual and media as we want this to be as complete a record as possible.

Scanning regs are 300dpi , saving at 90% jpg compression, send in as is (usual case of better to overengineer to futureproof as much as possible. Ftp is currently having a bit of a hiccup so drop a message on here to update whats been done, I am sure Iain will sort that side out soon enough.

Naming the scans:
eg Silent Service disk instructions

SilentserviceMicroproseDiskInstructions01
" " 02

Tape version

SilentserviceMicroproseTapeInstructions01 etc

Tape itself

silentserviceMicroproseTapeTape

Format
(name)(publisher)(media, tape disk or cartridge)(instructions,Inlay,Tape, disk or cart, misc(shurikens, cards or any other oddments))

This is what I have done thus far (between scanning sega force and computer gamer mags!):

3d construction set
ancipital
android 2
archon 2 adept
astrochase
ballblazer
bat attack
beach head
bozos night out
ciphoid 9
cliffhanger
combatschool disk
denaris disk
dinky doo
goodness gracious
Eidolon the
encounter
falcon patrol
fall of rome
firezone
flip and flop
fort apocolypse
galaxibirds
germany 1985
hareraiser
hell gate
hexpert
hideous bill
icarus
iwo jima
judge dredd (virgin 1990)
karateka
killer ring
koronis rift
loco
masters of the universe super adventure
mayhem in monsterland disk
mean city disk
morpheus
mrmephisto
nato commander
on court tennis
on field football
operation whirlwind
orm and cheap
osprey
psychedelia
raid on bungling bay
rocketball
skate or die disk
skyfox
solo flight 2nd edition
solo flight 2nd edition disk
stealth
tigers in the snow
token of ghall
train the
voidrunner
warlok
warplay
wimbledon64
yaks progress
z

Funnily enough 64 games covered hmmm Very Happy

Thanks for any help offered, it will be great for people to chip in on when they get time, and will be an invaluable resource for the future.

Regards Mort Razz

At the moment, the game name in the filename HAS TO match the name of the game in the Zzapbible, because the two tables are linked up to provide publisher etc. info on the game.

As for adding games that aren't in the ZzapBible, this will be implemented soonish. The page is nearly ready for launching, I just have one more script to write and then adding all the scans to the DB, which won't actually take all that long, once they are named correctly. Smile
