I just finished a book (published 1984) called "The Home Computer Wars". Its out of print, but was luckily enough to get a signed copy from the Author who worked closely with Jack Tramiel during the early home computer days. It focuses mainly on the Vic-20 and a tad on the C-64 but it was obvious how much stronger Commodore were in Europe/UK than they were in the States. I guess thats why whenever you read one of the nostalgic tomes about the early computer days, Commodore does not rate much of a mention (Due to most of them being American and concentrate solely on IBM, Microsoft and Apple). I thoroughly enjoyed the read and was wondering if anyone has come across some other books that go into detail about Commodores computer days. The British scene seemed to be much more interesting than the US. I remember an absolute plethora of Micros, that never rate a single mention in any book I've read thus far. No one mentions the BBC Micro or Acorn as a whole, Sinclair gets a couple of lines, Oric, Dragon 32 (Tandy CoCo ripoff) etc etc etc. The Japanese MSX invasion. The Apricot, the Hitachi Peach. Nothing, all dissolved into historical anonimity.Any book recommendations on such things to help feed my nostalia?
