As Iain & Mort have done such a superb job, I'm getting to the point where I want to put my Zzap scans onto CD. Anyone have a rough idea how many would fit on 1 disc? (zipped of course.)

As it happens, thats exactly what I'm doing. I decided to keep the first 50. Boy, when I worked out how much space that takes up, I'm amazed I've downloaded all this stuff with a 28.8K crappy phone line.Anyway, I'm not zipping the files, so I fitted Issues 1-14 with all the mini-covers from all issues on the first disk. The next disk is going to fit issues 15-35. So 3 discs for the first 50 issues. I guess I'm probably going to get carried away and grab the damned lot. Thanx again Guys for giving us the opportunity to collect the digital Zzap. Fantastic effort. Wish I lived in England, so I could've met Tony Crowther at BITLIVE. Would have been nice to see Andrew Braybrook also. Doesn't Rob Hubbard live in the states now? So he made quite an effort to be there I guess. |

He does, and so does Martin Galway, but as far as I know, Chris paid for their flights and accomodation, hence part of the reason for the £20 VIP fee!

What the hell has happened to Andrew Braybrook anyway. Did anyone find out. He seems to have fallen off the face of the Planet! |

Chris went half and half with the US based celebs for their air fare to the UK. Martin Galway told me his had cost 1,700 (though whether that was pounds or dollars I forgot to ask) due to the short nature of the booking. The £20 for the VIP ticket was to cover some of Chris' costs for the airfares.Still it was worth it. And apparently Ben and Jeff want to make the one in London next month so I hear... |
