As I have just got a CDR drive, I am gonna download the old issues and store 'em on CD. However, when I tried to access a few issues on this site, it said 'Connection refused' - Is this a problem at my end or yours? Also: 1) How long will it take to download an issue at 56k? (approx!) 2) Any idea how many I can store on a 75min CD? Thanks in advance!

You are getting a conncection refused as the site that hosts the issues is temporarily offline. This is due to a group of idiots trying to download all the issues at once. Causing the company who owns the servers to get a little pissed. There is 3gig in total for all issues. The site will be back again shortly |

James, would it be helpful if I took the older scanned issues offline for a few days to get bandwidth down to more narmal levels until issue 107 has had it's download peak?

I'm interested in getting hold of scans of some pages of the earlier issues, but the pages seem continually off-line.Some of my C64 artwork was featured on the letters page in a couple of the early issues, part of which I no longer have copies of so it may be my only way to get it back. Some of my demos were featured in later issues, so I'd love to get scans of those pages too, but can't :( I was also one of the unfortunate individuals satirised in the Compunet article, so I'd like to see that again, after all these years!

If you can give me your email address, the issue and page no`s, I will email you the articles while the server is down :-) |

Thanks! The problem is that I'm not sure which issues they were. Probably in the first ten, around issue six, I think. Maybe.Of course if the server was up I could search myself :-) Cheers! |
