Dear fellowship of the commodore ring...
(?! oi,seeing LOTR twice last week was probably a little too much of a tolkien-overdose)
..because of the whole zzap-back experience I got caught by RETROFEVER!!!! Aaaarghhh!
It has gotten hold of me-ee-ee!
What am I doing?
This week I couldn't resist buying:
a mint Commodore 128-d, a Commodore 128 with a 1571, 2 vintage commie 64's, a bunch of other diskdrives, tapedecks, arcade joysticks and a load of software & cables!
Why?? I ask myself! I was only into EMULATION!!
And my wife doesn't know anything about it yet!!!AAAAAARRGGHHH?
Oh boy, this virus makes me feel miserabe!
Err, btw, is there anyone who can explain me how to hook up my PC to my c128/64 system and all that?
What's there to explore? (Mort, you seem to be 'all-knowing'?- can you direct me to some informative sites, or give me a short introduction?)
Right, folks, I'm off to take some of my medicine, not that it seems to work anyway...ta!

Yep Jim,
The program you need to converse with the 1541 is star commander.link is as follows :
http://sta.c64.org/sc.html
and to directly link the 64 to the pc:
http://www.64hdd.com/
Both sites have schematics to make your own cables and easy to follow instructions of how to hook up you 64/1541, ( I did an article on this for 107 but it wasn`t used due to space, and unfortunately can`t mail it to you as my Hd crashed killing everthing :-( ).
As I use both these up in my attic room to connect an old 486 for downloading files from the net to the original hardware I can vouch for there brilliance :-)
