Another day another Kickstarter ;-) but as mentioned on Lemon64, when you read the description text, this bit pops out:
With your support we want to produce the definitive Ocean book - full colour, high production quality and written by Roger Kean of Newsfield, the company that gave us the seminal Crash, ZZap 64 and Amtix magazines.
Interesting...

and for this Kickstarter, if you pay £25 or over, you get a physical copy of the book. So I think it's one that I might actually go for.

Yep. Definitely sounds worthwhile. :)

I decided to go for a pledge, although an extra £6 for postage of the book outside the UK is a bit pricey...

Only 7 hours to go for it!

Looks like it's made the target... But Dizzy Returns is going to fail.

It made the target at least a few days ago, the new target was for bringing some of the old staff to a retro event this summer.

That would be a useful event for me to go to. Not sure if I can manage it though.

The book is finished and about to be posted out. Just like buses these retro books ;-) Better get reading the Sensi one quickly.

Just as well mine is miles away. Got some great interviews so far though. :)

Got mine in the post a couple of days go. I haven't started to read it but it looks very nice and polished. Glossy pages so the images are on the same pages as the text unlike the Sensi software one, which did make it a bit annoying having to flick back and forth...

Yeah, the Sensi one was like two books really, a documentary and an art book. I'm experimenting with different looks for mine right now, but however it goes there will be text and images together.

It's the way to go, although I guess glossy pages cost more, but the Ocean book is as glossy as you can go and it didn't cost a ridiculous amount.

I suspect, although I'm not sure, that I might go the eBook route first and put any money from that into a limited print run, or maybe hire a decent cover artist (I have a wishlist) and do a Kickstarter for a limited print run. It's a way off yet though, so we'll see.
