There's a great PG interview over at the Mean Machines Site.

Ooh, it's nice to see we've still got our old post counts. :)

biggestjim, I'd PMed Paul a few months back about the interview, but it looks like he never received it. His interview was just coincidental to my encouragement.

No, I did receive your message, which is why I went over there. So you all have Gordon to thank. Sorry I didn't reply Gordon. I feel like one of those Bad Dudes that were Versus Dragon Ninja. :(

I'm glad you liked it though. I was a bit down when I wrote it so I said to Damien (the lad that runs the site) that i thought it probably sounded like sentimental crap. :?

What can I say? You're a wonderful audience.

I now have to rethink my existence. Or cut my hair.

I start tomorrow.

[edit] Whoa! Almost missed that one. What were you down about? Is it anything you can share with the group? (Mr Zzapback in particular has very nice ears for that kind of thing.)

Playing Burnout 3 Takedown (Xbox) yesterday, having gained all 173 gold medals I got the credits... including "Creative Director - Paul Glancey"...

Uh-oh. I'm not impressed, Burnout 3 is total rubbish. (IMO, not to mention the latest 'upgrades')
Burnout 2 was the last good edition in the (unfortunately) ongoing (EA) series. What happened to that excellent game, Paul!?

:-o I played Burnout 3 a hell of a lot and after getting Burnout Revenge last week, I've been playing it for a couple of hours a day. It takes a rare (NOT Rare) game these days to hold my attention for longer than 2 minutes so I give the Burnout series a big thumbs up!

Although I will admit, Burnout Revenge isn't a hell of a lot different to Burnout 3 but that's EA for you. :(

What exactly is a creative director anyway, it all sounds a bit arty farty! Did he design the layout of the programmer's offices or something? ;-)

I'm guessing he was at Criterion...

Rob, I couldn't disagree more... Burnout 3 is excellent. Not played Revenge yet.

Well, for starters, and not to personally discredit you Andrew, but while I love BurnOut 2 on my (beloved) Gamecube, my 5-year old son doesn't want to play it, because you actually need to steer (and have skills) to get anywhere. While with BurnOut 3 on the Xbox he can just bump into *anything* and win his game without actually any steering at all. So he only wants to play that game. Which I won't allow of course, because I want him to play quality stuff only. (like Bubble Bobble on the C64) So I told him I'm going to bring it back to the shop and get OutRun 2006, and Sensible Soccer, when it's out. 8)
Not to mention the ubergloss of it all, it has just nothing to do with racing anymore, IMO of course.
