Hi y'all,
what I'd like to know is who of the ex-zzappers worked for other magazines and when. I know SOME facts, but I'd like to have a sort of carreer overview with names, dates & mags. (maybe even specified in issues)
Something like this: (an incomplete example, just to get the picture)

Julian Rignall:
1985 - 1988 Zzap!64
1988 - 1990 C+VG (?)
1990 - 1992 Mean machines (whatever, etc)

Gary Penn:
1985 - 1987 Zzap!64
1987 - 1988 The Games Machine
1988 - ? Commodore User (etc.)

Continueing with all (more or less) important ex-staff.
(except for Gordon who's still resting on his laurels anyway  )
Is there anybody who knows all these things, or maybe we could together
compilate things together?
Would be totally nifty, me thinx.

Ta!
Rob

From my interview with Steve:

"I've stayed in the magazine business, and had the good fortune of launching some very successful titles, like Edge, the Official UK PlayStation Magazine and T3. I'm currently working on my seventh major magazine launch."

He also launched Commodore Format, staying on the team for a while.

HELLOOO!! (echo, echo)
I thought this was a pretty interesting topic, but no one dares to touch it.
Or is it that nobody wants to share their knowledge?
Or does nobody really know?

For example: Steve Jarrat, what magazine didn't he work for!? I'd really like to see a list of all the mags he did since Zzap.
(CU, total!, Commodore Format, Edge...etc, who knows the rest?)
Ta!

That's exactly what I mean!
But I want them to be mentioned and list them all! :D
Let's just bundle our knowledge and make some chronological order.
Would be nice!

It probably needs a bit of research, and maybe emailing a few of the people, if you're keen. Things should be a bit clearer when Maff Rignall's site comes back online; and you can always check out my Where are they Now? page over at The Burrow, for a starter.:) http://www.the-burrow.freeserve.co.uk/z ... eynow.html

Jim, if you want to take on the research of this, I will of course publish the results on the site!

The zzapstaff table will help you for the details of when they worked on zzap...

Oh yeah, as if I have the TIME to do it! :D
I thought if we threw in all our knowledge onthe subject it would take less time to dig through all my mags & the net.
See, I know I post too much stuff over here, but I DO have a life besides Zzap & c64

Anyway, I'll see what I can do...
ciao!

(meanwhile, please feel free to add anything about the subject, either through PM or in this thread.)
