Will Evans

Post by onejen »

I'm Will's sister, Jenny. Lovely to read all your comments about him - 'specially from the Laughing Budda and James Price, who I remember well. Will would have been thirty this August. I miss him more than I knew it was possible to miss any person, ever. And I'll miss him forever.

Hey Jenny...

...how are you? Not been in contact with you since Will's funeral, though I'm still in touch with Emma pretty often.
I haven't been called the Laughing Buddha for ages, that put a smile right across my face.
I really miss him too, wish I'd made more of the time I had and got off my arse and seen him more. Bloody words, so inadequate!
It'd be great if you stayed in touch.

Hey there,

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Has Emma told you her newest news?

What you up to now?

Newest news? Newer than buying a house news?
No, then...
I'm living in a very strange small town on the Suffolk/Norfolk border called Bungay. It's like Twin Peaks sans murders.
Working from home, editing a casino trade magazine and really enjoying it. What are you up to? See your occupation is listed as journalist - got out of the pub/bar lark? Are you still in London? How's your lovely mum? Do tell her I said hello, though she may need some prodding to remember me!

She remembers you well, silly! I got out of the bar lark years ago and did 2 degrees. Am now a journalist, yes. Working on C4 series, Unreported World, which is actually on at the moment on Friday nights. I am the lowly researcher but maybe one day will shoot them myself - couple of years!

Ooooooooooooooh! Just spoke to her! Blimey.

Blimey blimey blimey.

Brilliant. Wow.

Two degrees - one more and you'll be a well-known girl group of yesteryear. Seen the trails for Unreported World and read the reviews, which were extremely positive. But i tend to read about TV rather than watch it, bizarrely. Apart from My Name Is Earl, of course.

Blimey. All change for you, that sounds really positive. Drop me an email and stay in touch... I'll pm you my email address!

You might want to send her a PM (private message) with your email address instead of posting it in a message here as loads of spambots (evil things) crawl around here and they'll pick up your address and spam you forever! :(

It certainly is that. Love it here, only been here six months though. Got a flat overlooking the Buttercross, so it's very central, at the hub of all the, erm... inaction.

(Mucho belatedly...) No, indeed, I think it was probably Steve Bacon's funeral (old bloke who used to drink in the Bull and lived in the Reader's House by the churchyard). Saw Mike 'Skippy' Dunn there, and I think Ben Stone too.

I didn't hear of Will's death until some time after the event - I think, in fact, from you, Jon.

Some nice pictures there, which brought him back in memory. Thanks for putting it together.
