The above, it's starting to grow on me, very short album though at 45 minutes. Cinnamon Girl is quite a catchy number after a few listens :)

I especially love 'If I was the man in your life', it reminds me of his 83/88 brilliance. Most of the cd is so/so IMO, miles better than his 90's stuff though.

Playing: Garageband, mostly, to record backing tracks for my new album. Was playing Mario vs Donkey Kong (GBA) until level 5 pushed me over the edge.

Listening to: Whatever shows up in iTunes on random. Also: my backing tracks... over and over. Oh, and the new Githead release, which is really good.

Reading: A big pile of Guardian magazines that I never got round to looking at.

Watching: Firefly. Why did they kill it? Why? (The bastards.)

I remember Miranda Sawyer's excellent interview with Sir William of Idol, at the time of that release (around 1993?) in Select Magazine.

Anyway she was told to swot up on cyberpunk comics as 'Billy will expect you to know about them".

Turns out he wasn't really that interested in them!
