The first shipment to Europe is *effectively* sold out, but Nintendo are saying there will be more Wii's in shops next week...

...but some retail chains have been holding stock back.

Plus of course there's now a product recall (Wii-call?) after wrist straps have been breaking...

While Gordon is hacking away in Twilight Princess I resisted the urge to buy the GC version and bought Donkey Konga 2 instead!

And what a dissapointment it is, btw. (Just 15 quid though - anyway)

Meanwhile, I finished the Earth Temple in WW, now heading for the Wind Temple! Yeeha! :D

:) Wind Waker is excellent, isn't it? I could never understand the criticism it received (either for the graphical style, the lack of "big" dungeons, or the triforce collect-a-thon). Above everything else it's a wonderful story with magical Zelda moments.

Twilight Princess is amazing. I was dubious at first (only after a couple of hours), but the second dungeon gave me that feeling of coming home to a great gaming series. Taking a break at the moment as my parents are visiting, but I'll be solidly back on it next Wednesday. And I can't wait. :)

As for Donkey Konga, it's useless for someone like me who doesn't have a rhythm bone, but DK: Jungle Beat was pretty good. Have you played it?

CORRECTION: not a recall, Nintendo offering a replacement for people having problems with broken straps.

Donkey Konga is much more fun in multiplayer...

Yeah, I would imagine so. It's not much fun laughing at your own mistakes. And my kids were just a bit too young to get much out of it at the time.

Windwaker is totally awesome indeed.
I think it's my number one game of all time now, no kidding.

I bought Donkey Konga 2 on the strenght of the part 1, which was a great little fun game for two. But the song selection of part two is just awful.
I mean there's at least 3 or 4 REM songs there! I mean playing Konga over REM* songs?? And they're not even the original songs but recorded by someone else!? Oh dear.

And, eh, of course I'm not playing this game all alone. I mean...come on, that would be a bit sad, really. Hehe.

I looked into Jungle Beat but I thought it was a bit too agressive for my taste (and my son's), I mean, it's all about beating up mean looking gorillas or something, innit?

We don't need a Wii to have a bit of fun, eh? 8)

*I like REM btw.

Hehe, just finished a website project for a friend and bought me a Wii plus 4 wii-motes etc. Plus Excite Truck! (awesome game which is F-U-N in capitals - just like games should be - except for the Japanese 'heavy metal' soundtrack - which can be replaced by your own mp3's through your own memorycard - thank goodness!)

Having a wonderful time with the kids bowling and golfing and a tennisarm because of baseball! (overstreeeeetched - awww)
Downloaded a bunch of excellent games too! (Solomon's Key - I already loved that one on my C64, excellent game!) And, and, and...
