i read somewhere that in blake seven they used a c64 tape deck spayed silver with some glued on cardboard fins, as a space ship?

I think Dr Who who had one once, not usre though.
C64's were used in a lot of 80's/early 90's sci-fi, probably cos they were cheap.

A C64 is used in an early episode of Red Dwarf. Either Series 1 or 2.
