Ha, damn you Iain! I'm seeing this link all over my Facebook today - and I'm not somebody that's especially into videogames now or has a circle of gaming friends. So many people posting about C64 games. One person who I've known for years has commented on the link on my Facebook and started talking about how he used to buy Zzap! as a kid too. Brilliant stuff. C64 FTW!
PS and that's Mayhem is it? Nice one!

All merged now and in order of time posted so there can be no fighting!
Seems like there are a lot of people out there with fond memories of the C64 even if they have no knowledge / interest in the retro community today.

Excellent stuff, Mr Allen. I was hooked from the moment that cassette started squealing.

Brilliant stuff Mayhem. Can I just say it was great to see you showing the kids Last Ninja II and not JUST games from 1984 or whatever which so many news reports do when they cover the '64.
I also hope you showed them a Creatures torture screen or two!

Fantastic video, great stuff.
Just disappointed that Mayhem appeared for 'real' and not as an ink-drawn figure I associate him with from here...

Several of us were more disappointed that he wasn't wearing his flame shirt...

Big respect for Mayhem, but that made me feel old. Those kids of today must view us like we were still playing with the ball & cup (which is now incidentally available for the iphone)

Does it mean that Windows is getting more reliable so that the youth of today don't know what a "blue screen" is?

The blue screen joke was deliberately for those watching at home
