Zzap!64 "Book"?

Post by Iain »

Just happened to type zzap64 into the Amazon search engine and this came up:

Zzap!64

WTF? Taken from Wikipedia articles according to the cover, but also covers 360 magazines? Very strange.

Um... I think we may have switched to an alternate universe...

And £27 for 84 pages! That's harsh.

Yeah, seems to be a print on demand... of Wikipedia articles? Who has more money than sense and wants to buy it to see what's in it? ;-)

I'd buy that for a dollar Andy!

Interesting blog article and comments. Is the purpose of it all to trick some libraries into buying them. With 1000's of "books" on demand, I guess they must get a few orders from people.

Re an April's Fool. Saying there was a real Zzap book coming out for an April's Fool would be just too cruel! Hopefully Roger and Co will do a Newsfield book at least some time...

The idea of someone typing in "Zzap!64" on Amazon is also quite intruiging to say the least. ;)
Once again I emerge from beneath a massive pile of paper which makes my desk groan to bring you the world’s most amazing posts.

Yeah, I've seen a ton of these "wiki" books on eBay...
