Issue 108 P - Welcome

It's time to get down to the dirty business of seriously discussing the make up of issue 108 (who would have thought).

I think it's a general feeling that this issue is DEFINITELY the last Zzap ever! (Done by us lot anyway...)

Who's the main organiser of this crew anyway? Gazunta?

What's first on the agenda? Getting together a list of features etc. that will be in the magazine pruned from the public suggestions in the regular 108 forum?

I think we can force Gazunta into taking charge (heh heh heh), although, if last time was anything to go by, Gordo and I will sort some stuff. You know, if we can be arsed. :D

We need to sort an article list and finalise how many pages there will be, then allocate articles to said pages. We can then "commission" people to write the stuff. Oh, and we need to sort deadlines.

I guess we should have threads for these things in the not-too-distant. In the meantime, cheers for sorting out this "secret world". :)

Yeah, thanks, Iain -- and this really IS the last ever Zzap!, as far as I'm concerned. After this I'm going out to pasture to eat grass and bite ramblers.

Rightio then.

For now, let's aim for 32 / 36 pages (32 + covers etc).

So...

How about we aim for about 6 or 7 features (which would take up 10-12 pages, as some would be 2 pages and some would be 1)

7-9 reviews (2 pages each for 2 of them, 1 page each for 3 of them, half a page each for the rest, depending on how much each game is worth)

So that's like 20 pages there...

plus the regular bits - letters (2 pages), editorial (1), high scores (1), challenge (??)...

Hmm, lots of spare pages...what else do we want?

So I guess the next step now is to figure out what the features will be, since they'll take the longest to write.

(goes off to look through the previous threads for ideas)

I'm going to move these threads into the general Zzap forum as well, but I'll go through them to make sure there's nothing dodgy in them since it was/is a private forum.

Bit sad to see what the Zzap magic has waned somewhat over the past few years, especially since I've gotten re-motivated and doing/planning lots of changes to the website. :) or :(
