Zzap Binders High prices
Zzap Binders High prices
A Zzap binder just went for £32.99 on eBay. Quite a price for just the binder. Imagine the price a Commodore Force binder would go for?!
Re: Zzap Binders High prices
I know. I bid £31 for it (grrrr)
I still need another three.

Re: Zzap Binders High prices
I technically don't need any more (although a C= Force one would be great) but a couple of them have seen better days, but no way I could justify spending that much on one.
Re: Zzap Binders High prices
I've got a couple of spare binders here, but they are being kept if any of my used ones fail down the line...

You have one of the fabled Commodore Force ones as well If I remember correctly?Mayhem wrote:I've got a couple of spare binders here, but they are being kept if any of my used ones fail down the line...

Re: Zzap Binders High prices
I've got two Commodore Force binders, although one of them has suffered a bit of stress damage in the 20 years since. I bought both of them back in the day while the magazine was still going. Hindsight says I should have ordered more...

Re: Zzap Binders High prices
I've actually never even seen a Commodore Force binder. There's not even a Google Image for one as far as I can tell.
I was an early Amiga adopter so I canned Zzap pretty quickly and only have picked up subsequent late-Zzaps and Commodore Forces for completeness. Hence, I'm at the mercy of Ebayers and private sales to get hold of these items.

Re: Zzap Binders High prices
Commodore Force binder is red with the logo on the spine. Detachable metal rods to house the magazines, which was used by most of the binders at the time. Sadly a few of my binders from that period have suffered a bit of stress damage from holding the magazines over the years. Guess the plastic wasn't designed to last 20 years...

Re: Zzap Binders High prices
Good to hear they started using metal rods. The plastic holders in the Zzap ones are terrible for trying to rip the pages of the magazine.
Any chance of a scan or photo of the Commodore Force binder Mayhem?

Yeah, I'll try to remember to take a shot of them next time I'm over my folks (most of my magazines are still in storage there).
