Ash's C64 GFX version of issue 25's cover
Ash's C64 GFX version of issue 25's cover
I decided to screen grab this from the demo as uploaded to Compunet and described in issue 40
Very nice looking I think you'll agree!
You can get the C64 file along with others from their demo disk on CSDB.

Considering it's age, not to bad at all.
I have a load of compunet stuff I downloaded from somewhere years ago and this was among it. I've seen it before, but nice to see it again!

Cool.
Oli did a tribute to this for issue 142 of Retro Gamer.

Yeap, I've seen the Retro Gamer cover. Getting to issue 142 is pretty impressive. What's higher than that now in games mags, Edge?

That Zzap! cover beats Retro Gamer hands down!
Once again I emerge from beneath a massive pile of paper which makes my desk groan to bring you the world’s most amazing posts.

The ZZAP one is great, but I really love how many classic ship designs Oli crammed into the new one.

I did a couple of my own many moons ago.

Not too bad, although I'd clearly not got a handle on dithering!

With the various converters/apps it should be much easier these days...

Interesting sounding app, is there a PC or Android program that does similar?
I assume it adheres to the original GFX rules for the various machines?

I've no idea how closely. You'd have to ask @middaparka on Twitter.
