Hi there all - amazed and heartened to find a forum dedicated to my joint-favourite C64 mag as a kid...! Wow!

I have a very long shot question about an old game - it was a freebie on one of the big two mags, and I'm pretty sure it was Zzap.
I can't remember the name of it but remember putting some hours into it. A text-based adventure - one of the characters was a detective (?) named Lafayette. It's been plaguing me!

Could it have been NYTHTYHEL on issue 81?

That was a two-part text adventure with a detective.

Or L.A. ADVENTURE on issue 87.
