Actually I don't know how it played in 1985... :wink:
I tried it for the first time in 2001 and totally fell in love with it :D

Now *there's* a game I could *never* get into... and yes, I have tried (Defender variants in general have always left me cold).
Aaaargh! :)

Yeah, and I'm still in awe of that score you got: I honestly thought my half million wouldn't be beaten, so I was *very* impressed. Then again, you, Sickboy and fflip tend to do well whatever game is thrown at you. :)

btw, if there're people here who don't know what the hell we're talking about, visit the Lleague section of Llamasoft forums at http://smokey.blackcatnetworks.co.uk/~l ... m.php?f=24 and click on the Introduction and FAQ post.

How about a short arcticle why when we remember playing games and reading magazines between 85 and 90 it was either incredibly sunny or thick with snow outside?!!!

I'm not sure if somebody already came up with this, but here goes: (seems like I posted this before but in a wrong topic)

well then perhaps something about the c64 scene then? (coders, graphicians, crackers (!) musicians, cool storys, celebrity sceners, how it all started, famous cracking and demo groups, discmagazines, parties & events, etc etc...)
I'm sure (the modern) Zzap!64 isn't only about gaming is it? 8)

cheers!

How about an article about how an LCP is adapting to life in the 21st century?

Heh heh. I like that one: it could be a nice retro-based article comparing games/hardware then and now.

When was it out again 85 or 86? (Just wondering how long in theory a copy could have been left on for!)

It was 85, 18years or 6570 days give or take, because I ignored leap years, if its the sort of thing that might be of interest I'd be happy to have a go at writing it, or co-writing it

I have heaps of ideas, but a few that will probably not get a mention would be articles/write ups on:

* The C64 demo scene [as of now]

* Current C64 games & game in development

* A programming tutorial for would be demo/games creators - I don't mind writing a "specific" piece for this - Developer's Diary?

I used to love reading the CNET pages of Zzap! ;)
