Hi folks,
contributors copies are underway!
Everybody will get their copies somewhere this week.

LP did an excellent printjob! Blew me away!

(got a box of 100 copies at home, I'll update my site later with pix)
It's amazing! :D
Once again I emerge from beneath a massive pile of paper which makes my desk groan to bring you the world’s most amazing posts.

As early as this? Hmmm we'll have to see if RG is there for me tonight :)

The excitment builds up! I hope you posted them to us using a super duper 1 hour later courier? ;-)

Still have to edit the front page to tell people who don't hang in here about the tribute..... It's just a hassle trying to do it on the laptop, but I will do it! :)

Def tribute

Post by Ockhams Razor »

well, my retro gamer arrived in the post today and let's just say that i had a huge rush of nostalga as i opened the plastic and saw the Zzap supplement... could not believe it was actually there... i have just sat down and read it virtually cover to cover but kept flicking and scanning as i could not wait to see the next page! Will be reading carefully again tonight once i have calmed down!

Great to see the interviews and photos of Stephan and Iain.

Oh, Iain, after seeing the photo it's only now that I realise how good your cartoon representation is!! You should start selling autographed copies on eBay!

ALL the mugshots created by Ant are superb.

(BTW, Ant, I know I raved about all the games and so you only needed my "thumbs up" pose, but did you do the other two mugshots just in case? Would love to have them for my personal use (e.g as an avatar on here, or on my website))

It looks superb, it really captures the flavour of an old ZZAP! issue, and I haven't had time to read it all yet. Congrats on a brilliant job Rob, and well done to all the other contributors.

Bet I don't!

Courtesy of US post not being that great and the fact this is a four day week, I bet it'll be ages before I get my mitts on it. Although, I can always read the pre-proof read copy if I feel the need... :D

I was hoping my thumbs down pic would appear in the Labyrinth review, but only the middle one did. I wonder if Ant actually ever sketched it? :P

(it wasn't used in Zzap!64 #107 you see, only the middle and good one!)

A pity a couple of the reviews got culled as well :P

But enough sticking of the tongue out... it's a damn fine piece of work! I am mightly impressed... my copy even managed to survive the mail (although the issue of RG itself seems to have taken the brunt of things and I will be phoning Live for a replacement!).

Big up to Rob for putting all of this together, and big up to everyone else who helped out with it :)

Got my copy through the post today, all I can say to Rob and the boyz is awesome job, I feel deeply moved at being part of such an awesome mag.

Would you like a scanned version Iain whilst you are waiting for the Official version :D

As far as I recall, for those people who already had head-shots, no more were created. That's why a few of the heads on the new tribute don't entirely match the comments.

Actually no, I'd prefer to see it in the fresh first this time, it makes it a lot more "real".

But you can buy me a copy of Retro Gamer with the Tribute issue in a WH Smith and post it to me and I'll pay you for the pleasure! :) (Yeah I know Rob is sending me copies, but it'd be nice to have the RG with the Tribute attached to go with it as well

Em, guess this should really be a private msg since it's a bit off topic! But it'll get Rob back for his many off topic posts ;-)
