Today is Columbus day in the United States.
In honor of Christopher Columbus I present the following:
In fourteen hundred and ninety two
Columbus sailed the ocean blue
He lined his ass with broken glass
And circumcised the crew

So, the USA is celebrating a holiday for an Italian working for the Catholic king of Spain, who made four voyages looking for the East Indies, who never actually landed on mainland USA and who opened the door for oppression and disease among the native peoples?
