Remember The Shadow? (or Shadowspiel)
..who knows what evil lurks in the soul of men?

Corny, controversial, cunning, did you like it?
Why, and which topics do you remember best?

Loved the photo-love story (and mock obituary) they did in issue 16 when Gary Liddon was leaving...

I loved every 'Shadowspiel' column and was very disappointed when it was axed (because of Mr Liddon leaving of course!). As well as all the gossip (I remember the photo of that Mastertronic girl obviously taken first thing in the morning!), they also used to preview games and give snippets about game launches etc.

Yeah, I always loved it when they printed letters from the software companies trying to manipulate things, hehe. Naughty. :)

Great column

I remember the first shots of Claire Hirtch ( cant remember the spelling of her surname - but I'm sure you all know who I mean ) being photographed in that colum

Also some great pics of women in the software industry modelling tight white computer games t-shirts - iff the top of my head I think it was David Crane's wife
