I'll get around to putting a copy of the medium res on my site as well soon enough... once it's recovered from all the bandwidth used by people downloading the Feeblez vid

Well, I've created a page for the Def Tribute.

There's a little write up about the issue and related photos and images.

Hope you all like it!

p.s. Obviously there are links to the downloads on it as well :)

Actually, one thing's very interesting on that page: how well the cover and the logo stand out among the "competition". There's something to be said for doing things a bit different, and Rob's design there rather proves that point.

Woops, I didn't write it!

Iain, do you know Craig was my assistant editor, and without him we would have had a Babelfish Zzap!?

There's more stuff wrong in that text, like Zzzap! (at the top) and The DEF Tribute to Zzap by Iain?
It was 10 reviews instead of five...umm, I'll ahve a better look later.
Ta!

Btw, thanx for all the work putting up the page and pdf's Iain! :D

What do you mean Craig? "competition"? What are you referring to?

Ah thanx. :)

Sometimes I like Edge's covers too, for example the Wipe Out Pure cover, a couple of months ago. But generally speaking the gamesmags are boring. Boring logo's (Games TM!) boring covers (standard stock imagery from the games companies) and all that.

Can't fault Oli for coming up with some nifty logos (Crash, Zzap!, Thalamus) admittedly othere were less attractive (TGM, Amtix -the name!?)

I'm aware of the "by Iain" thing, you see when articles are displayed there's a field for the author of it, and if I put Rob, it would look like you wrote the article, but with Iain, it looks like I did the magazine. I think I'll just add a bit that it doesn't display the "by" part at all when the field is blank! :)

Em, think I just got that number by looking at the contents page

tsk, tsk, as you (should  ) know: only the awarded games were always being mentioned on the contents page. There's 5 other unawarded games as well in the mag.

A wrong list of reviewed games in contents page has always been a feature of Zzap! So that makes the DEF tribute feel even more like the real thing :)
