Do you do all these remakes or are you part of a team?

... will let slip his flying monkeys to capture all copies of this game so only he can gorge upon its deliciousness! Oh, yes, my pretties!

The starcells say "meanwhile". Check it out.

Wish that last one was true... I'd love to interview Martin for Retro Gamer, but he doesn't seem keen.

So I gather, but I just can't hear it... :(

It's probably like those 3D dotty pictures which I couldn't see for years and then suddenly "got". If I listen till my ears bleed, I'll probably hear it in the end. :D

Thanks for the link! Looks quite faithful. I take it some of the sounds come direct from the C64 version? The cell patterns on the title screen look like exact copies! Excellent! I also like the little plume of exhaust gas from the back of the ship. Neat touch; look forward to playing it...

ta - some of the patterns are the same and there's some new ones.
we wrote a nice editor for doing the patterns (suprisingly easier than we first thought)

Perhaps you could release the editor in a form that others could use to make patterns in real time using keys/joystick/joypad/etc along to music. Just to give ol' Minter a run for his money. Trip-a-tron-esque anyone?

it does include the "off-duty" mode where you can change the pattern/colour/life/speed of the particles.
