Hi guys,

Great place you have here :)

I'm after the code on LCP that turn the 'LCP speech' into 'words' so you could understand his babble...also the code that brought back your LCP from the dead (on the disk version obviously!).

I'm sure these were printed in ZZap!64 - but can't find them in the issues I have :(

Thanks in advance guys :)
Gary

Hi,
there's no tips & hints in the issues 44-90 (I've checked) then only LCP stuff in Zzap you'll find here:
http://www.zzap64.co.uk/cgi-bin/display ... azine=zzap
but those are listings and I couldn't check what they're supposed to do. (I'm at work)
I'll look when I'm @home.

Did you google already?
Ta!

There were three listings for LCP in Zzap!64.

The one for #13 is the one to give your disk a new LCP character. Except it didn't work properly all the time and could create a ghost instead. There was a correction (not listed in issue #44) for this that did work in issue #15 or #16 I think.

The one in #26 was to output all the words the LCP understood. There's never been a listing to convert the "babble" into words.

Mistakes you made 15 years ago are still haunting you! ;-)

Who's to blame for all the cock-ups in the original zzap bibles though? :-E

The correction was featured in Gary's Tech Bit in the Middle section Gordo, so you can be excused for missing that one ;)

With all those CU's around, I have to check those as well.
Pity no-one created a 'tips-bible' for that mag so far. (wot? me!?)

CU never was into 'indexing', were they. I can't recall a single list of games, tips or whatever.

I loved those Zzap indexes, I always marked the games I had, and the ones I wanted with a different color. Daydreaming.

Didn't Dan Gilbert (IIRC) do the Play to Win section before joining Zzap?
He'd dissapeared since then, didn't he?
Mmm.
Ni!
