Why not join us to share all those classic (and not so classic!) 8/16 bit games?

Mozzy has set up a members hub where we can share everything up to ST/ Amiga games without hassles. (No console games!!).

Just download Direct Connect and install it.
In 'Favourite Hubs' you need to add mozzys hub.
The hub name can be called Mozzys Hub
The address is - Cheese.m0nkey.co.uk
(please note the zero in monkey!)

Just add the relevant folders to share and off you go!

Any questions or comments just reply here...

I read a bit of this discussion on Lemon, so it's been set up then?

What's Direct Connect like? any Spyware or adware in it?

Its pretty reliable - Occasionally slow to downlaod the users lists, but on the whole very good.
No spyware or ads as far as I know.
At the moment there are about six regular users, with a few more dropping in to leech *cough* share files!

Come and join us Iain - and everyone else reading this too!

Yeah, I think I might, looks like emulation of even 8-bits has to go back underground for a while! :(

Mozzy did a great job getting this up and running. I've already picked up one or two goodies myself (Aaahh, Aztec, my old friend). Anyone willing to share some of their collection with other fans should really pay it a visit. It only takes a few minutes to set up and it's more than worth it.

Remember though, for every file you leech, a fairy explodes in a ball of fiery death!

But that's still no reason to be greedy.

Ever get the feeling you're being followed? ;-)

I should put a few files up on my server at home. The only problem with it, is that "bad" files will get spread as well as working ones. i.e. games that don't work 100%. Could there be some attribute that says whether the games been verified or not I wonder?

You again ... :)

Good point. Though I was very impressed with Mozzy's collection. The file names are the full game title with indicators showing whether the game's been cracked and by whom plus some other info. Not sure where he got them from but he mentioned that he gathered the entire collection from scratch over a few days of heavy downloading!

I just tried the hub but was refused. Is it still active?

I have these if anyone's interested:

Think that something else has been set-up to replace that hub - Though I am not taking part as some people tended to leech my files then when I tried to download a few from them, they would disappear....
