What really happened if you killed your LCP?

This is quite a morbid thread...sorry.
I was wondering what happened when you killed off your Little Computer Person? Did anyone here ever do it? I never had the heart too although I did get him quite ill once.

I remember hearing all sorts of rumours from my school mates about what happened. Some said it wiped the disk, others reckoned it caused you computer to freeze and I heard another rumour that you actually just got a new LCP instead.

I tried to kill mine once.
I had the casette version, so I made a copy of the tape (tape to tape on the hi fi) , loaded the copy up and left him on doing nothing while we went visiting relatives for the weekend.

When we got back I was very disapointed to find out he was still alive (but looking very sick).

Oh, and my Dad went mental when he found out the computer had been on all weekend!

Did get to kill mine, on the disk version he went green after about 5 days and stayed in bed, then disappeared not to be seen again. So they seem to turn to dust instantly. Found this out by videoing the game on lp whilst asleep to find the death scene :-)

Lost my lcp, had to use a revive lcp listing (from zzap) to get my lcp up and running again. :D

problem: how to successfully kill your...beloved LCP

solution: switch your C64 off (you gotta be cruel to be kind).
