The Def Guide to Zzap!64

I just read on a forum that the Editor and Deputy Editor of EDGE walked out at the end of October. There is a thread here:

however it seems to be a lot of squabbling and very little facts.

So, does anyone know the facts? Did they leave/sacked because they refused to take the magazine more mainstream?

I noticed the editor position being up for grabs a while back. However, despite writing for a bunch of Future mags, I never did get my claws into Edge. Who knows? Maybe the new bunch will be up for my ideas!
