Today I got the scans of all issues of LM (thanx Mort! :D )...
so, it wasn't much of a magazine, was it?
Not focused enough.
And Oli's covers didn't work for a lifestyle magazine either, although I liked that Superman flying out of the cover.
Hmm, I wonder if stuff from issue 5 is still floating somewhere around the Newsfield archives. :)

And those Simple Minds vs U2 debates!?

It looks quite dated when you read it now (as you mentioned, the Simple Minds Vs U2 arguments, the fashion shoots) but I do think it was a good mag. When LM was published, I was just starting to get interested in music and other stuff (ahem!) so it covered all bases for me.

Oh and I do remember arguments about those two groups in my final year of school!

(You should ask Roger if they still have any of the 'missing' LM material).

And any material from CF issue 17 and Gordo's original editorial for issue 50!

Say what now? You planning to meet up for coffee with Mr. Kean?

I found my old copies of LM the other day and had a quick flick through. Any fans of the band Garbage in the house? Check out the Goodbye Mr Mackenzie interview in the first issue to get the shock of your life!! ;)

Yes that was the first band Shirley Manson was in - I think she was going out with the singer at the time.
