Hi!

I've recently bought a new PC and decided to transfer the emulator over from my old machine. Everything is on a CD ROM entitled C64 Classix which I picked up in HMV or Game a number of years back. I'm able to run the Win64 application and load the games but there doesn't appear to be a way of changing the joystick settings so that I can use the keyboard!

I'm confused.

The 'compilation' you mention, C64 Classix, is a few years old, but you also mention "Win64". Is that the name of the executable or the emulator? There was a Win64 emulator, but that's about a million years old now. I assume the C64 Classix CD uses some kind of version of VICE.

Either way, wouldn't you be better off downloading a newer version of VICE from here and any games you really play from here?

Yeah that compilation is ancient. Grab Vice and begin anew...

Clicked on the link above but which of those approx 24 links do I use to actually download it?

If you are referring to VICE then it depends on your computer.

If you are running a version of Windows on an X86 processor then click here...

Unzip the file and run 'x64.exe' - that's the C64 VICE emulator.

That's brilliant! I did have VICE on the old pc but not sure where I got it - I assumed it was on the CD Rom.

I'm now off to play some games.... :D
