This is the best one I think as it`s got nearly a full set of games and was one of the only sites where I could find a working copy of that great game The Time Machine. Check it out:

The place for downloading C64 games is ftp://arnold.c64.org/pub/games . It's a pity that, lately, it has been maintained very little. However, it is the largest repository around

I found that RULEZ.org was great to see all those games that you had forgotten about BUT hard to know exactly which ones were the correct ones to download...

For example >> there are only 2 disks for Creatures 2 ( I think )

There were heaps of creatures zip files on offer. ARE we expected to download all these files and hope for the best?

If there are multiple downloads of a game, then its usually because they are different 'cracked' versions - One might have an infiinite lives or high-score saver for example.

One cracking group I can vouch for is 'Remember' - They are usually top-notch and include documentation on-screen before the game.

Oh yeah, REMEMBER, they are probably the best.
Go here:

And don't forget NOSTALGIA, they do the same thing and also have quite a couple of stunning c64 files.
Go see for yourself:
