Oliver Frey Original Artwork For Sale

Post by Iain »

Here's a rare opportunity to get your hands on some original Oli artwork (a good bit of it from Zzap) if you have some cash burning a hole in your pocket.

Oliver Frey Illustration Art Gallery

And if you've had your fill of Zzap related stuff. Here's a nice little piece:

I always loved the Beach-Head II artwork... now I'm really sorely tempted (especially given the fact I won't be @ RR to bid on the artwork there).

I thought you might be a potential buyer. There is some nice stuff there.

You'd have to mount them in a nice frame (obviously) and keep them in a dark room to ensure no sun fade though! :)

I'd have a little bit more money perhaps if I hadn't recently bought a few more Steinar Lund pieces (including Mega Apocalypse) and gone to the San Diego Comicon (complete with commissioned artwork ahoy). I'm also off to the US again next month. But one might do me for now hah hah... you can be assured if I do buy something, it'll get photographed properly for posterity (and/or scanned) and then kept hidden well to prevent fading...

If anyone is planning to buy any of the artwork. PM me and I can give you details to get in touch directly and thus get them at a cheaper price. Bookpalace has a web exclusive at the moment but Roger and co can sell direct...

Kinda hard to know how popular they will be. There's obviously a demand, from at least us Zzap fanboys, but the price isn't pocket money prices..

Maybe we can buy a couple between us and cut them up to have about 10% of a poster each? ;-)

There's a original art poster on eBay now. The Smash TV one from Zzap.

The seller is Roger Kean, so no need to worry about the new account / 0 feedback. Starting bid is £150, which isn't too bad... prop won't stay at that for long though :)

Took the plunge and ordered the Hunter Moon cover art, managed to get that under the girlfriends nose as it was reasonably priced , and not somebody being mutilated as she put it ;-)

Better work out the best way of framing it also, Mayhem got any suggestions ?

:-o Hope she hasn't moved in yet! Where am I meant to go and visit to get some retro goodness / bachelor pad hangout? :-D

I hope Zzap Towers the Third, hasn't turned into another pretty suburban house with pink curtains and flowers on the pillows!! ;-)

Have you brought her over to the joys of scanning old computer magazines yet?
