Dragon's Lair. The cassette version. *sigh*

Also: The Prince, a Firebird budget game. It was so bad I took it back and exchanged it for Thrust. Which was rather good.

After that, it was that Five Star compilation, which had Spindizzy on it.

Dragons Lair was a very frustrating experience I found. In both loading and playing.

The Five Star Compilation was great though if iirc. Struggling to remember what else was on there though. Wasn't Scarabeaus on that?

Yep. Spindizzy, Scarabaeus, Batalyx, Zoids and Equinox. I persevered with Zoids because of the music, and Equinox was fine once you worked out what to do (the instructions were crap).

Scarabaeus and Spindizzy were ace, though.

I wanted to like Zoids, really. It just looked so cool and the music was amazing ... but the difficulty ... Arrgh! Rage building just thinking about it!

I remember wanting to like Zoids and not really getting it, then pretending that I did get it so not to look stupid to my friends.

Equinox rings a bell. I'll have to look that up.
Scarabaeus was excellent, although I tried to play it the other day and could for the life of me remember what you had to do!

My first was Skramble (guess it was spelled like that) on VIC-20. Got it before I got my ViC-20 computer in -83. It was a great game :-)

:) I bought some games before I even got my C128 as well, bit mad really but at least I could play them on my mate's C64 and I kept a couple unopened to play on Christmas day when I actually got my C128 (though it was DOA! :`-( )

Yeah, Hunchback II for me.

Followed by Super Cycle and Bruce Lee I think. And David Crane's Decathlon (what a joystick breaker), quite possibly started me on the road to sadism.

Great days.
