Just Canceled My Facebook Frienship With Someone

Post by Newman »

Yes, I canceled my friendship with someone today for her opinions. Lawyer! Isn't it enough that their opinions are voiced in courts of law and the press? Should I have it on my wall as well?

Have seen some interesting debates on people's Facebook walls.. and have also seen some downright disturbing bullying and IMPOSITION of what people think is the "right" answer.

F up your chance of getting hired.

It is stated on the news channels and in print in national magazines that hiring managers are looking at the social media sites to research what new applicants have said and they are going back several years.

Want to quell your chances at getting a job, post all kinds of opinions and other shit on these sites.

Must admit I'm not that into the idea that other people can post on one's own wall.

I've been de-friending people recently as well, it is kinda pointless being "friends" with somebody who haven't meet in years and years and weren't really friends with anyway.

Fairly sick of the whole Facebook thing anyway at this stage...

And thus begins a backlash?

Give it a few years and the world population of sheep will be hooked on something else anyway...

Kind regards

lol me, but only for the multicam chat thingy for when I move out to the states next year. I only really use these social network sites to keep in touch with family and real offline friends anyway.

I removed dozens of people ages ago after realising there wasn't any point adding people I've never met. Just only a few online friends on my list now, but they're people I've known for a while, two of them for over 10 years and completely trustworthy.

Was reading an article earlier criticising Google+ for privacy problems, based on their insistence people use their real name... For me, I'll only move to Google+ when it becomes so widespread that everyone else is using it regularly.

It's amazing how many people look at me funny when I tell them I'm not on Facebook, as if I'm strange or something.

Well, at least I think that's the reason... ;)

I read about privacy concerns with Google+ which feels more invasive than FB. But I use a name that's so obviously fake I'm surprised I haven't been banned from Google+ yet.

I tried out the multicam chat, it works well talking to one person, but anymore than that and the sound goes all weird and echoey for some reason. Maybe they'll fix it on an update.

Nothing is interesting in someone who tries to shift as much blame as possible to the victim.

Technically it's still in beta... just with millions of people doing bug reports for them ;)
