Identify staff from new avatars from issue 74

Post by Iain »

I'm doing the revised ZzapBible for issue 74 at the moment and with the changed design, the staff images have changed and they have no name or initials below them.

I think I know who is who, but I want confirmation from you guys before entering in the data.

From left to right:
1. Stuart Wynne
2. Phil King
3. Robin Hogg
4. Nick Roberts (I only know this because it mentioned in the beginning of the review. Anybody know where he came from?)
5. Mark 'Corky' Caswell

I'm pretty sure I have 2,4 and 5 correct but not 100% about 1 and 3.

They are the same images for each review as well, no more thumbs up etc. I'm not liking this "new" design and as we know it only goes downhill (for a while anyway) from here... :(

1 and 3 are correct to my mind as well Iain. 1 is definitely Stuart Wynne and I'dve said Robin for 3 without seeing your post.

Yep, Nick contributed bits and pieces to ZZAP, seem to remember he did the Rick Dangerous maps.

Got to you at last anyway Ian, although you first appeared with Christmas balls for eyes and green hair... not the most glamorous entry ;-)

That's Robin Hogg's avatar - look at the mouth. I'm not sure who wrote that second opinion - Robin didn't return after Newsfield rose from the ashes as Europress Impact, but he might have written it before the closure.

Flicking through that issue, my own avatar isn't there, but I definitely wrote the Final Fight review. I remember the game well - it was shite.

Opps! Thanks for that, I'd better go back and do a bit of data changing. Some of the content of that issue did mention Robin, e.g. G-Loc preview

Arse, more reviews without reviewer names. I'll put you down for that one anyway! Let's hope I remember this fact in a year or two when verifying the data and wondering if I put a name in there by accident... x-)

While I have you here Ian....

The Smash TV review mentions you in the intro text ("Ian Osborne ponders the impossible") but has the review head of Stuart (and Phil) so which is correct. Do you remember reviewing the game?

Yes, that was me. I remember reviewing Smash TV on the Spectrum and/or the C64, so as my name's on that one, I'd wager it was me who wrote the review and the reviewer head was a mistake.
