Konix Multi System

Post by Iain »

I just saw an announcement of an emulator for this infamous system and the availability of Jeff's Attack of the Mutant Camels '89 for it!

Read all about the console at the great site below, where you can also get the emulator and the game.

Here's the page in Zzap from issue 48 where they talked about it. Right above the April fool article about the C64 super chair. :)

Spooky - been going through some old mags recently and was reading issue Minus One of ZERO (the preview issue of the 16bit mag) and there is a 2 page spread all about that system, the helicopter stick, etc.
Fave Game: Thrust
Fave Music: Ocean Loader (original)

It was a fascinating idea, but perhaps just at the wrong time.

Perhaps the fact that in the years since, nobody has marketed anything similar, suggests that financially such a device is not viable?

I'm talking mainly about the versatility of the controls. Everyone got used to the joypad - the real shake-up in control methods did not happen until the Wii and camera-driven games came along.
