(Estimated) delivery times for the DVDs...

Post by HeXoN »

Hi there! :)

New to the board, but a long time reader of Zzap!, but not so long visitor of the website. :)

I was wondering if somebody could tell me how long it takes to deliver a DVD from the ZZuperstore to Belgium?
Yes, I ordered the "Newsfield Pack" last sunday night, you got me. ;-) :-D No worries here, just wondering.

Thanks for answering!

Hi HeXoN,

I forwarded your order to Mort the same day and normally he's pretty quick in posting them out (a day or two). Stuff from the UK normally takes about a week to get to Ireland so I'd guess it's similar if not faster to Belgium, so I'd be expecting it sometime next week and hopefully nearer the beginning of the week.

Enjoy and thanks for the order!

No worries. How come it took you so long to find the site? Been here since 1997 :)

Well... I actually didn't know Zzap even had a website. :-D
Only a few years back I stumbled on it by chance on the "MSX Resource Center" (http://www.msx.org), where somebody mentioned the site about Zzap. But still, I didn't know I could buy the the scans on it. So I skimmed it, and favorited it. (Much) later I thought "let's dig through the site". And noticed that I could buy them. *drool* And yeah, years pass... I always wanted to order them, but I didn't have Paypal, or Visa. So... But now I do! :-D
Just sad that C&VG & Commodore Format aren't available anymore. But will I place an order again for some other, next month. :-)

If I just found a site where they did the same thing for Dutch magazines, like MSX Gids, MCCM, ... :) I still have quite some Dutch magazines (mostly about MSX), but I don't see myself up to the job of scanning them.

Oh, and you were right about the delivery time, 1 week. I just got them today. A few DVD-cases are for the bin, though. :-( I checked the outside the actual DVDs, but they seem ok. I will check them out later on the pc.

But happy nonetheless. :-D

Later! :)

The long path to Zzap! ;-)

Were some of the cases cracked? How does Mort send them out, in a padded envelope or just a regular envelope?

Indeed :-D

They must have been squished between things. Namely at the outside are few bits and pieces broken off, but most of the DVD boxes have no clips (don't know what is the exact name in English) anymore to hold the disc in place. Nothing seriously damaging for the contents, but still.

It's a padded envelop, thanks for that :-) Otherwise I had to superglue them back together, and I don't think my DVD reader would accept such hybrid ones... :-D

Must of had something heavy on top of them all right. If you've happy, that's the main thing anyway :)

The main things is that the DVDs themselves work, so yeah, me so happy ;-)
