Why wait so long?

With a hastily grabbed image of the recent PoP box art...

Nice! That's half the work done for a new issue now. No reason not to add another 63 pages to the cover. ;-)

Thoughts do turn to 30th anniversary next year.. :-D

Emm same as Back to the Future. Seems 1985 was a great year for new things.

Who will act as editor, though?

My version of Zzap!64 No. 108 cover. The idea is to make it like the old Zzap!64, yet at the same time, something new. Took an Oli Frey art for this. You like?

Oh yes: I designed it for if it was printed by Magclud, everything inside a .25 (all sides) margin. Should Zzap!64 No. 108 not be made for Magcloud, it can of course be expanded or shrunken as necessary. And if necessary I can change the headlines too.

I put the date of September 2015 on the cover so that there was plenty of time. And yet, the appeal of releasing it in April or May 2015, thirty years on the dot after the first issue...

Oh yes... I'd be happy to do layout. I'm no professional, but I could mimic the Zzap!64 style fairly well via Scribus. Just email the text and screenshots to me

And if you like I could do margin comics as well. Just not with Rockford/Thingie. Copyrights and such. I can however do margin comics, as I intend to implement them into my own magazine, so whenever mine get scanned I could show you some examples.

Nice cover, Terry.

I would love to be the editor - but my health problems mean I can't commit to a long-term project.

Thanks :) I do my best.

I sympathize - my grandmother died of cancer. Hmm... who'll be editor, since you can't? I'd offer, but I can't due to a large and varying number of reasons. Layout I can do, but I can't do art beyond the margin comics, I'm not that great of an artist. Though I could, theoretically, trace original art from Zzap!64. Hmm. Who knows... I don't have a (working, due to the printer/scanner thing locking up since it lacks ink) scanner, anyhoo.

Maybe Gordon could be convinced to have another go :)

It is a big job though and takes a lot of time chasing people around to get the copy etc. Going by reports from previous "fan" issues.

There's been more fan issues than just 107 and the DEF Tribute?!
