Reformation C64 Track Remakes by Matt Gray

Post by Iain »

A Kickstart by Matt Gray just started today:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/12 ... ay-last-ni

Some text taken from the page:
1) “Reformation” a double remake album with around 18-20 of my most popular tracks. This will also be the basis of the digital download.

The track listing will be open to some revision but there will almost certainly be

At least 6 tracks from The Last Ninja 2
At least 2 tracks from Tusker
At least 2 tracks from Dominator
Driller
Bangkok Knights
Hunter's Moon
Vendetta
Maze Mania
Quedex
Motocross
Treasure Island Dizzy
And others

2) “Last Ninja 2” a standalone picture disk CD with a booklet containing the entire Last Ninja 2 soundtrack remade by me. It will be highly collectible, and it will never be re-pressed.

I really like the idea of the Last Ninja 2 CD and vinyl, how cool would it be to have a 12" vinyl with the LN2 eyes looking out? I think I'll have to go for that one, might make some amends for the "borrowing" of the C64 tunes for my Last Ninja 2 Music demo all those years ago! :)

Maybe I should start my own Kickstarter? Would anybody pay me to throw the kid into daycare and work full time on this site? ;-)

Backed at level 4 for myself. Kinda mad paying £15 + £3 (P&P) extra for the vinyl but still love the idea of it and a big cover.

We'll have to wait a while for it all to be made though.

Very close to the £25K funded amount now!

The project is going ahead, passed £25K just after midnight last night. Stretch goals should be doable, it would be nice to have extra CDs!

Backed also, went for the last ninja 2 cd version, at the £35 level (record player has bitten the dust so no point with that).

:D

Yeap, the LN2 is what I'm really in it for. Will be nice if other stretch goals are reached and we get a nice fat CD box! :)
