All ZZaps now done in 4k (yippee)

Post by Mort »

Hi Guys,
Good news, the last of the Zzaps are now rescanned in 4k , thats 1-108 all up on the internet archive, get them before they go. This should be the definitive collection in lovely hi res, you can modify ,convert to pdf edtc and clean up as much as you like at this res so they "should" be futureproof.

Hope you all enjoy them on your hd screens at home.

regards Mort

Congrats! What makes you think they might disappear? The Internet Archive seems to have lots of scans and executables up there that I'm surprised to see.

What's the size of all those issues in 4K then? (Just wondering how long it would take to download on my 4Mb "broadband" connection? :-D

Is this one of yours? Filenames end in (HQ), it says uploaded by Jason so that confused me a bit.

Hi Iain,
I think Jason edited a few to make them more visible as I did not do the metadata quite correctly hence the other name.

Good news is all the Widescreens are done properly now :-)

Downloading Zzap 001 (HQ) right now. Many thanks for these uploads Mort. I've still got my original DVDs I bought on the Zzuperstore from yourself (over 10 years ago!) along with many others. :)

I was hoping to access the Crash and Zzap! HD collections on the Internet Archive, but I can’t seem to find any downloadable files on the collection pages. I’m logged in and everything. I can get to view a list of the files in a directory, but nothing downloadable. I’ve started a re-read of Newsfield and would love to read in HD. (I purchased all the Newsfield DVDs some years ago.) Is there currently any way for me to access the HQ downloads? The Zzap!s I could find a few months ago, but not anymore (and I want to start with Crash).

I can download okay. I clicked on issue from this page:

https://archive.org/details/zzap64-maga ... ads&page=3

and downloaded the PDF on the list of the RHS of the page.

Not positive if the link above is actually Mort's 4K scans though...

Thanks Guys, you should see a lot of 4k content from me now, I have uploaded scans of my commodore collection , magazines, spectrum games, and odds and ends in hi res as I am clearing a lot of stuff out as the attic is creaking under the weight .

I have also uploaded Amtix, Crash, Commodore Format, Sinclair User , Your Sinclair and 5000 plus commodore and spectrum games inlays and boxes in 4k.#

Hope this keeps them alive.

All the best

Mort

Mort, were you ever still interested in doing NMS? I've still got all the issues here, and probably either going to the dump soon, or can sell off...
