download c2, Illusion version, from http://web.externet.hu/c64 (search for the right page under "C", it's the 6th page).

When you run the game (CCS64) you'll find the trainers screen (black with white writings), in which it also says to "insert" disk 2. You must do that before the Terminator 2 alike intro. To change the disk, press f9, then choose disk 2 and return to the game (I guess by pressing f3). Then press fire on the intro, the loading screen as you described will appear, and after a while the game will be loaded. As for your problems with keys not working, maybe you have to configure the "joysticks" in the options menu.

Hope that helps.
My top games: 1.Hawkeye, 2.Delta, 3.Creatures 2, 4.Armalyte, 5.Bubble Bobble, 6.Uridium, 7.Ikari Warriors, 8.Bionic Commando, 9.Buggy Boy, 10.Archon.

It'll be F4 to select new disc after finding it with Alt 8 in CCS64...
