Commodore Manifesto

Post by Iain »

I posted this on Lemon64 a couple of days ago but thought I do it here as well:

My son (6) come up with this manifesto for bringing back Commodore, all typed by himself!

Quote:
1.GET RID OF IPHONES
2.BRING BACK C64
3.BRING BACK C16
4.BRING BACK C128
5.GET RID OF HOME COMPUTERS NOT THE ONES IN OUR HOUSE
6.GIVE EVERYBODY A COMMODORE AS MAIL
7.MAKE THE COMMODORE THE BEST SELLING COMPUTER
8.FORCE ALL FACTORIES TO MAKE COMMODORE THINGS OR ELSE WE WILL DISMANTLE THE FACTORY
9.FORCE ALL IPHONES FACTORIES AND SMART PHONES FACTORIES TO SHUTDOWN AND MAKE COMMODORE PHONES

You can't argue with them! Although maybe I should have removed point 5 before posting on a public site!

I'm so proud! :)

I especially love the idea of dismantling factories if they don't produce Commodore stuff!

Possibly a bit of a tyrant... but it's in a good cause! :)

Some additions:
10. THE INTERNET IS ONLY ACCESSED FROM THE C64 C16 C128 AND THE THINGS IN OUR HOUSE
11. NO spying ON PCS
We are about to start work on a new page on the C64 part of this site to talk about his upcoming game ideas etc.

I will keep you all informed about developments! :)

Once again I emerge from beneath a massive pile of paper which makes my desk groan to bring you the world’s most amazing posts.

Who knows what teachers teach in school these days! ;-)

He seemed to have lost interest over the past few months. Didn't do any more work on our maze game over the summer but then a couple of weeks ago he mentioned that he was thinking of asking Santy for a C64.

So I said he could have a spare C64 I had along with a 14" CRT and he set it up on a little Ikea table in the dining room and got buzzed up about doing some programming and wanted to save them to tape as well!

He has a few programs written now so hopefully that'll continue. I was pleasantly surprised by his renewed enthusiasm especially since it wasn't prompted by me.

I'll take a photo of his set up and also what he dressed up as for Halloween, again all his own idea.

Here's the photos. I couldn't believe he wanted to go as a C64 cartridge, but it turned out pretty well! Head out of the hole at the top and arms out of the side. I somehow doubt anybody else got what it was though. :)

Ta! I don't think I'll ever be able to throw it out. Hopefully he might get another Halloween or two out of it. :)
