Post by Iain »

I've finished off the code for allowing you people to add ZzapBack comments and ratings to the html reviews of the games.

Check out an example at

I'm probably doing something wrong but.... I have tried doing a couple of comments on different games, and when it gets to the stage of submitting, I get an error message saying I need to enter a name - Of course I did this and still get the error...

Help please!

em, there have been some comments by you, so I'm assuming the problem has been overcome?

Unless you were trying before I make the annocement?

The code wasn't finished back then, even although the submit button was there, guess I should have removed the submit button until it was completely finished! :)

The feature seems quite popular, I think I need to do a little page showing the newest ZzapBack comments so you don't need to be reloading each review, just to see if somebody else has entered a comment.

I've written a little hack to grab your username from the forum and put it in as a default value in the "Name" box for the ZzapBack comments.

Please let me know if you have any problems with this, your name should appear once you are logged into the forums......

This new feature works fine too.

I agree that it would be nice if the reviews with recent comments would be shown.

Keep it up!

Just wrote a little script to show the most recent Zzapback comments.

There's a link to the above from the zzapback area in each review.

It's totally excellent Iain!
There's already a lot of stuff going on, which is very nice.
Definately a fine injection for the main site.

I must finish typing more reviews, so we can make comments on more groovy ol' games instead of the majority of trash that's on offer at the moment. :)

Ni!

I must say I am quite proud of the additions.

It's nice having it all databased as well, makes it a lot more flexable.

MNext on the agenda is more reviews and features to be scanned alright.

Hey, you bunch of Zzappers and Rrappers, keep those zzapback comments flooding in!

iain is adding new html reviews at an impressive rate, many classics are already in, where are you lot (apart from Craig and biggestjim)?

We're behind schedule :)

How true! There's is only a hand full of people adding comments.

Add more now, before I get Gordo to come around and bounce on you! 8-)

Have you not seen the zzapback boxes in the new reviews as there are added to the site? ....or... shame on you... do you only visit the message board part of the site? :`-(((

You know, that's really good. No wonder you're feeling pleased with yourself.

I've never really looked at those reviews before ( ), but I've just had a good look through and left a couple of comments through the ZZAPBack! feature.

Very well done! :D
