Commodore User the 8 bit years done now also!

Post by Mort »

Just putting the finishing touches of Commodore User issues 1-78 (the 1st Cu Amiga). This covers the 64, Vic Pet and all the early commodores with the 64 taking priority from 85 onwards until the Amiga took over coverage in early 89. Very interesting.

Will be taking orders from Friday next week so drop me a mail and I`ll get them readied (no Jostling at the back). Usual stuff, posters tapes and Pamphlets included.

Off on holiday for a early break from scanning and Bt :-)

Considering I mailed them TUESDAY via Special Delivery (supposed to get there next day) then for them to take three days... shocking!

Mort: WELL DONE! When will it appear in the ZZUPERSTORE

Post by julesg »

Hi Mort

Your arm has been in full swing again (for all the right reasons!)

Will I be able to order the CU disk through the ZZUPERSTORE or do I go directly through you?

If ZZUPERSTORE, when is it going to go up. Its the one I have been waiting for!

Any idea on price?

Thanks

Jules

I'll be putting it up on the Zzuperstore once Mort emails me the cover. I *think* it'll be the usual £23.99 but I may be wrong. Mort?

I also recommend Mort's C&VG scans - mine arrived yetserday and I had a good look through them today on the XBox. Its an excellent package - The first 127 issues plus extras including the first issues of EDGE, ACE, BIG K and tons of other stuff!

Thanks guys,

Iain drop me a line to remind me of your address and I`ll get a set sent pronto (will be the usual price). I hope to be soon able to get hold of most of the pcg issues (needing about 3). Currently working through Commodore Format will start posting about missing bits (what I do need is scans of the tapes themselves aswell as the tap images of the later ones not on the cf site.

Must get on scanning

If anyone has any issues of Big K got 1,4 and 12 done please drop me a pm and I`ll get them scanned for the greater good. Also C&vg will be hosted soon on sinclair heaven (sorry to mention the s word) and hopefully Big K aswell as Pcg should be able to follow suit.

No doubt I can fill the tapes side of things. In time. When I get time :P

(as I have every single tape from CF)

Want the inlays scanned as well, or are they done?

Thanks Mayhem,
I could use PjHolland`s covers but it would be nice to use higher res versions of the inlays with the tapes themselves asper zzap. Will email Pj when I get some more issues done to see if he can host them on his site.

Prof, will mail you of any scans that are missing as I go along (saves a load of work at the end  ). I have borrowed an A3 scanner to do the wide later issues which I am scanning at the moment before doing the earlier standard issues (should have a newer pc with decent usb 2 support to speed the process up and as the A3 is usb 1 I thought it would be best to concentrate on those 1st).

My m8 steve has won a load of pcg`s the 1st 8 issues I think for a staggering £150 (the auction went a bit bonkers at the end). So they should be done soon (if he lets me borrow them without the use of a safe to keep them in

Thanks guys must get on as am at work at the moment

As said, I have a complete set of 62 CF issues as well, most in great condition and all are 100% complete. Glad you mentioned the A3 scanner, some of them are a pain to copy over being wider than A4!

Oh and I also got a copy of the CF Diary from Andy Roberts over the weekend if you want to include that.

As for Big K, I am looking for all issues to own as well. I currently have #2, #6 and #11 (damaged cover) though I'm not certain as to their overall condition without looking through.

Zzap!64, CForce, Games Machine, C+VG, CU, Big K, PCG, CFormat...(not mentioning the *completely irrelevant* speccy mags  )
There's nothing left to wish for! :D

oh wait, except for Mean Machines, Super Play and maaaaybe Edge?
