Here's my crowning glory from my CVG days, the three-way Mortal Kombat Deathmatch between me and Phil & Grant Mitchell.

Yup, these days I look more like Robbie Coltrane.

Gawd, I remember that day!

Phil Mitchell WAS Phil Mitchell.

Grant was such an actor in a floppy coat!

Still, it was well cool having those two in the office at the top of their game.

I bet they wouldn't do that sort of publicity these days!

Anyway I bet Ross Kemp will be heading back to EE soon...

Bloody hell. Late again.

Hiya, Randy, mate. Good to see you around these parts. You sound a bit better than the last time I spoke to you, which I'm glad about.

Anyone seen my Zimmerframe?

Ello Gordon mate, good to hear from you.

Yes, bit touch and go last time but I took all the right tablets, spent the time in the place with the soft white wallpaper and now I'm tickety boo!

Well, as I'll ever be...

Now here's a controversial statement.

And admittedly, I've been away from games for a while...

Just played Half Life.

What a load of old poney.

Now I remember the days of reviewers being in the pocket of advertisers, but bloody hell.

Tried to borrow me brother's HL2 to see how things have progressed but not allowed cos of some nonsense internet password horseshit.

What on earth has happened!

It's not controversial, it's just idiotic.

Gaz, it's not the industry I remember mate.

Surely they don't think they're professional.

Meant the first one previously, mind.

Shite.

I'd have hammered it - Wolfenstien with more floor space.

Where's Elite 2 ffs!

Put Kick Off 2 on emulation on the other day, pissed off - only won 8-2.

But that's a real game. None of this 'interactive cinema' tosh.

It's amazing how much of it's coming back to me, when I think really, really hard.

Who could forget the A-Team singalong at the Spice of Life, for instance?
