Hello, I'm new(ish)

Post by Fizza »

I just registered, I've been reading the site on and off for quite some time and it's a great resource (alongside crashonline). So I thought I'd register, say hello and introduce myself. I was a regular reader/subscriber since Issue 1 (still have my pretty beat up copy) up till around early '88 (I can't remember the issue number), I think once the all the original crew had left I lost some interest and also was looking towards the Amiga anyway amongst other things.. I have the dubious distinction of being one of 100 winners of the Dark Tower/Penetrator competition in Issue 1 (wooo!), and I just very recently in the last few days found out that Paul Sumner was a made up 'dummy' reviewer, which has made me question reality more than Bush/Blair foreign policy..

So, I hope I won't be too much trouble and want to say cheers for a great site and 'nuff respect to the Zzap! Crew for THE great C64 mag, which is still a great read 20 years on. Now, who wants a cup of tea??

Well viscous is related to the movement ability of a liquid or to put it better:

1. Having relatively high resistance to flow.
2. Viscid; sticky.

Anyway, you're off topic Mr. Zzapback so you're about to be banned!! (Would also give me a chance to fly past your total post count. :) )

Banned!? Again!? No, please no! :o

It was more that I thought that 'rumouirs' was a semi Irish, French, Belgian, English mix-up. Could be me though, who am I? 8)
Where's the board sub? (Craig!!)

lol, I found out about the nonexistance of Lloyd a few years ago, I'd just got my head around that and then, Boom! I wasn't terribly surprised about Lloyd, never seeing a picture or anything.. but Paul Sumner was introduced in the mag with a bio, pic and everything!

Thanks for the welcome all! 8) We got a Def Poet in here too :D 8)

Gary Liddon used the Paul Sumner guise when he already worked for Thalamus, to 'avoid' tangling of interests.

Really.
