Stuart Wynne- Letter of the Month
Whilst having a flick through some Zzap's, a name came out to me in the Rrap section. Stuart Wynne, Chester. Letter of the Month in issue 26. This must be the same Syuart Wynne who later became Editor.
I don't know if this was noted before or not, so I apologise if it has.
Pretty good letter, " Lloyd " even says, to quote, " one of the most constructive and useful Zzap! Rrap letters I've ever received! "

Richard Eddy also got some artwork printed in CRASH a while before he was taken on at Newsfield.
Oh, and anyone remember the letter from Gordo in CU?

I remember Stuart Wynne was from up north, and 'Chester' sounds about right - the letter-writer probably was Zzap's future editor.
Interestingly, while I worked for him in the early days of Impact Magazines, he was writing a science fiction novel. I've no idea whether he finished it, or if it was published. Perhaps Gordo's not the only ex-editor of Zzap to turn his hand to novels...

Having had a quick search at Amazon, I only came across this result which has got to be 'our' Mr Wynne.

On the suject of Stuart Wynne, is there a documented sighting of him in the pages of Zzap?
We all know how much the other staff members loved being photographed, especially the Gordon, Kati and Maff years, but Stuart, not one photo. I'm sure of it.
Robin Hogg and Phil King had a few pics and were in the challenges, but Stuart, nowt. I'm sure of it - although I only have Zzap up to the issue they stopped Amiga coverage - around 74 I think.

I've never seen a photo of him in ZZAP! (or TGM where he also worked). There again, have you seen his reviewers head (the one where he looks like he is shivering)?!Fiery Phoenix wrote:On the suject of Stuart Wynne, is there a documented sighting of him in the pages of Zzap?
I always thought it was weird when they announced SW had an accident and The Scorelord took over (even in review comments) - Probably just 'cos Wynne was publicity shy?
