C64 DTV i.e. C64 direct to TV Joystick

It looks like the PAL version is coming out at last!

The C64DTV page on Amazon has been updated to show a 22nd July release!

I hope it's worth the wait! :)

I will probably buy one when it's been reduced in price - I just think that the whole release has been a bit ridiculous with the extensive delays.

Every C64 game I could conceivably wish to play is sitting downstairs on my Xbox, so, no, I don't think I'll bother with the DTV. (Now, had it have actually included the ability to add your own games...)

Well everything is on my xbox as well, but I'm sure I can easily convince my brother to buy one since I am curious to see it in action and the easter eggs etc. :)

Pre-ordered mine, hope that date is definite.

(Note though that the games list on the Amazon site is the NTSC list, and has changed slightly for PAL. For example, it's Nebulus not Tower Toppler, and the complete California Games is in there.)

It's Amazon UK. From my own experience with that company with my books, the release dates are something of a lottery. They may come to pass, or they may be total bollocks.

Perhaps I should have made that clearer.

I've pre-ordered from somewhere else, but I'm hoping that the July 22nd date is a DEFINITE date for everyone to start selling/releasing them.

(And I've had my share of problems with Amazon. Took them three weeks to confirm they couldn't get something in a order, meaning the other two CDs in there were held up because I put "assemble them in one package"...)

Craig, you're just ruining the look of this page by not having a Zzap avatar. ;-) Maybe you could ask Ant very nicely to do one of you! :)

Indeed, Mr. Zzapback. Now get back on topic before I threaten to ban you again! :-)

I think Ant suggested that I should remain "mysterious" or something. (Well, that was his excuse!)

But I'm entirely my own man (and I don't even own a long-word dictionary).

:D
I'm more than happy to whip up a sketch for you if you're willing to send a photo. Rob might even volunteer to DEF-Tribute-ise it.

Though personally I like the veil of mystery that enshrouds you.

Not much of a mystery though, since there's a photo of him in his book! :)
