I read somewhere that someone outside of Live Publishing has hold of the disks - but wasn't there nothing really worthwhile on them anyway? :?

Richard Burton actually owns the disks now. Most of the Megatree stuff (graphics) was salvaged and used in the slideshow presented at CGE UK 2004.

The archive was included on the RG cover disk as well as D64 files. You're quite right Lee, there wasn't a lot.

Smila and Mersey Remakes are currently working on their version of Megatree, based on the design sketches and interviews.

The content was a bit disapointing considering the fuss made, but they are a part of "folklore" now.

Live Publishing formally went into administration on the 28th September.

Assets were sold to Magnesium Media Limited.

Magnesium Media happens to be run by one of the former directors of Live Publishing.

That's common business practice. It sucks, but it's legal.

As I don't want this forum to be threatend by legal action (as Retro Survival was), all I can say is:

The legal action wasn't about saying who was involved in Magnesium Media, Lee.

Someone posted the home phone number of a Live Publishing director on the forum, and someone else made several nasty phone calls to that ex-director. That's why we were threatened.

Yeah, I just don't want to say what I think about these people, Andrew!
